2. Use a search engine (e.g. Google) to search for “common network
   protocols” or “top network protocols”.
3. Browse through the search results to find websites that list and/or
   explain common network protocols.
4. Read about the features and capabilities of the network protocols that
   are listed.
5. Add the network protocols that are mentioned as being common or
   popular to your list.
6. Continue this process until you have compiled a list of the most common
   network protocols.
